Tripod for 4K camera

Hi all,

Im wanting to know what people would recommend for the Cinema Camera as a suitable tripod?


    ATEM Production Studio 4K
    Intensity Pro
    2 x Decklink 4K Extreme
    SDI to HDMI 4K converter
    Ultrastudio Express

I can vouch for the Miller stuff. I picked up an older tripod of theirs with a DS-20 head used on Ebay (US$ 840) and it works beautifully. Very smooth and a lot of levels of adjustment. A tad heavy for carrying around a lot, but that also has the advantage of being more stable.

There's various ones, but Ebay, or better yet specialist photography / videography selling websites can be a good source of bargains.

Personally I'd say the choice of head is more important than the rest of the tripod. Or rather, it has more of an affect on your final picture.

I got a Manfrotto - 546B Pro Video Tripod with Mid-level Spreader, with a Manfrotto - 502HD Pro Video Head with 75mm Half-Ball. absolutely love it.
