I may have the 16mm I want the 12mm if the optics hold up. The 10 would be nice but I'd prefer something that can have things mounted on the front.

Curious... nothing on the Rokinon site at all. I remember Mathew Duclos posting about the 10mm Samyang being announced http://matthewduclos.wordpress.com/2013 ... f2-8-lens/. Wondering if these will filter down in Cine glass housing's and if that's the case when?

Look at the Samyang website... Remember Rokinon is a brand Samyang goes under.

Thanks Michael. I guess I'm getting lazy. Noticed that the 8mm is available in a Cine housing as a version II so am curious about that. Expecting the 12 to also be a Made for motion as well. Wondering if they'll ever do a 50?

Thanks for the update.

Lol I just had this conversation about Rokinon making a 50mm else where. Rokinon made a name providing high quality lenses for people in specific lens areas. A 50mm is something that they do everywhere. I mean even the Canon 1.8 isn't completely blown out of the water by the 1.4 and 1.2. I see on this board people will always willingly spend an additional $400 for a similar handle to the $100 dollar handle. I think most BMCC owners will know Rokinon because they filled a space that they needed.

Rokinon has said publicly that they are working on a 50mm cine lens. I posted to their FB site and they responded.

12mm would have been interesting if it had been able to cover APS-C (like the 10mm) because it accepts a screw-on filter. The 10mm requires a matte box for ND filters etc. So not much love from Rokinon / Samyang for the BMPC4K users. BMCC and BMPCC users fare better.

Lol I think this is the 1 time us BMCC users feel more loved then owners of the other cameras.

well, I don't know if ou guys noticed, or maybe you're all on M43 mounts...but several of these new lenses don't come in EF mount. Only EF-M.

I was intrigued by the new 8mm, because I was about to pull the trigger on one, but it's not mountable on the EF.

So really, the 10mm is the only update for BMCC EF cameras.

The only one that is ef-m mount only is the 12mm. The 8 and the 10 are both on the ef.

Neither of the new 8mm version list EF. Nor does BH list them for sale with EF mounts. Where are you looking?

The EF-M mount on the new Samyang lenses is intended to be used on the EF-M mount cameras but can't be mounted on a camera with EF or EF-S mount. Yes, I should have said, the was only love for BMCC and BMPCC MFT users.
