Camera 8.6 Beta still

Hi,
I'm just wondering when camera 8.6 will come off beta, it's been 3 months with no updates, will a non beta version ever be released?

As of right now, it is November 19th and there has been no update on the 8.6 Beta. It's been in Beta for 8 months. I would really LOVE to see these features go into full effect on a stable release and I'm really hoping this one doesn't end up being like my URSA Mini 4K where certain features were never unlocked (such as the ability to use DNxHD - it's still greyed out in my old cameras options menu according to the friend I sold it to because the update was never released for him to install).
I want it to be stable and useable and for all of the cool new features to work perfectly -- especially the ability to delete clips -- but this one feels like it's taking longer than usual.

I wan THAT feature to go away. I don't like the new files it stores on my media card to make it work.

What files are those? I don't install Beta's so I haven't had a chance to use any of the new features yet (hence the reason I'm eager for them to release the stable version). What's wrong with the files?
