Lots of dead/hot sensor pixels?

PostFri Mar 21, 2014 11:07 pm

Just looking at a load of footage we shot last weekend and have noticed massive amounts of dead pixels on the sensor 40+ pixels....

Anyone else experiencing this?

Dead pixes on BMCC 4K

PostFri Mar 21, 2014 11:16 pm

Just looking through a load of footage on the BMCC4K and noticed a good 40-ish dead pixels that show up in the shadows. Here's an image sample so you can see what I'm talking about. Definitely going to send this camera back for a replacement.

Apologize for the size of this image... but to really see the sheer amount of dead pixels you need to see it full-res.

You'll need to download the full-resolution image to see the hot/dead pixels........

Good luck getting a replacement. The BMPC 4K cameras are so screwed up they're not doing RMAs right now :(
