Hello,

I have some flight cases from army. Heavy, heavy duty models

Is it a good solution for cameras ?
Should I cut foam considering cam+lense assembled or separate holes for camera and lense ?

Thanks.

If it works for you, normally one would separate the major components so there’s no stress on any unions. Separate cutouts may give you the space to add another lens or mic etc.

I’ve checked a 1650 Pelican Case before with Full Camera Kit. I only had to separate the 98Wh Batteries (per the airline’s request) into different bags. This Kit includes, Camera, Should Mount Kit, EVF, Matte Box, Follow Focus, Dual Battery Charger, 4 Batteries, and some extra accessories.

Otherwise, just the camera with shoulder mount kit can fit and some smaller accessories in a Pelican 1510 case if you’re looking for something smaller.
