Are there any PYXIS in the wild yet? Shipping in June was the last I heard, unless I'm mistaken?

Unless they released it before B&H, they have it shipping end of July.

are people still excited about the Pyxis? I've been a 6kFF user since their launch and I'm finding myself getting used to the form factor and how to rig it up in a comfortable way to shoot more commercial projects. I think I will probably pass on this, though I do like the form factor. really wish they would do a faster-readout sensor in this body with some internal NDs.
I doubt we will see any more cinema camera releases this year. ???

When the Pyxis was announced, I was planning on it. Then I went down to my local camera store and handled a BMCC6K. Perhaps constantly shooting with a Voigtlander 65mm APO on my Sony A7RIV had gotten me used to something larger. I had been shooting on the Pocket OG and a Sony A6000 for years.
The dimensions of the Pyxis weren't as small as say, Komodo or the BS1H. The Pyxis was expensive since those promo shots with the viewfinder meant I'd be hard-pressed to ignore my consumer lust for one of those. Then the sale happened and I jumped for the 6Kff. I've used this camera in the raw and with a cage, handheld, cinesaddle, tripod. I'm used to it now. The main thing I wish the BMCC6K had is that time code port. Rather than jamming it into the 3.5. But overall, I'm happy. I can't see messing with anything for a long time. It would have to be a better sensor and more feature rich than this camera in a different body. Maybe someday there will be some sort of 12k trickle down. I used the OG Pocket for 10 years so we'll see how long I'm good for with this.
