Thought I would share what is on the way from XLCS Designs for the new PYXIS 6K. Lots of accessories and add-ons available as well—including LCD accessories, a backplate with additional mounts, integrated 15mm rods and adapter locks.

Notably, the cage maintains the camera’s native mounting points, so BMD proprietary accessories like their top handle can easily mount to the cage if you prefer that to a third party. Expected to ship in August.

Full Metal Jacket (for Pyxis)? That name sounds much more appropriate for RED gear. I know I wouldn’t buy into that branding.

That makes Mid49s branding pretty boring:

Their "Base kit for Pyxis" sounds so...weak in comparison being descriptive instead of hyperbolic. Also, Mid49's offering lacks the bullet proof FMJ coverage as well.

Well I’m all for bullet proof and full metal jackets where appropriate such as in real warfare and fantasy gameplay. Just don’t need that kind of mindset applied to camera gear the way RED did. Just my opinion. Going to be interesting what the future holds for the evolution of RED naming conventions and design appearance under Nikon.

Agree! I thought it was a little ridiculous. And not sure you need that much wraparound metal. I am also curious what happens to the names under Nikon. I think a lot of the fan base loves that stuff.
