Hi everyone,

I have already sent an e-mail to the Blackmagic Support EMEA but I prefer to talk to other customers to be sure to have all the answers to my questions (and they did not answer me yet).
I'm from Southern France and I work with a Blackmagic Pocket Camera 6K which has several issues (HDMI port and maybe dead pixels). I'm not quite sure if I can send it for repair, because we bought it second hand and it does not have a guarantee anymore.
My second answer is where to send it if it's possible.

Thank you in advance for your time and sorry if my english is not very good !

Greg

except the fact that it's a foreign support across a border ;) contact them to know if repair is possible and they will give you the cost with labour.

It's a lotery : sometimes you have bad news (like for my hyperdeck), sometimes it's good...

The EMEA support HQ is in the UK; and it most likely will not be be economic to you, for BMD to repair, even if they would, unlikely again, in any case.

But the HDMI issue is fairly common on the Pockets and is usually a blown chip. Any reasonably competent electronics/camera repair place, should be able to fix it for not too much:
(4K and 6K are identical in this regard)

For the dead pixels, have you run the pixel calibration, in settings?

HDMI issue is often a blown chip, and a local camera repair shop could handle it at a reasonable cost. For dead pixels, definitely try the pixel calibration in settings first. If you’re looking for services nearby, this guide might be useful: https://gowithguide.com/France Hope it helps!
