Third Party Firmware Update?

PostMon Apr 07, 2014 10:18 pm

Forgive my ignorance on the subject, but is it possible for a third party company to release a firmware update for blackmagic cameras and sell it at a reasonable price. Sort of like Magic Lantern did with Canon. This is an honest question.

this requires someone to crack into the current firmware of the camera(s). This could be achieved if BMD released the source code to the OS the camera runs. Its highly unlikely that someone can crack it without huge amounts of time & effort.
