I believe these lenses are made by the sister company of DZO.

I think we have Zeiss to blame for the era of overbuilt “cinema primes”. Look at how compact the next gen of Cooke SP3s are built. Massive lenses are artifice at the low end.

Good Luck

It’s also easier when they are only making Sony E or L mount.

None of these new compact lenses (even the Zeiss) work with PL or LPL.

My 10 year old compact primes though, I can just get a LPL mount to change them to.

Certainly, but the difference between the CY 50mm and the CP 50mm is immense.

Good Luck

It looks like Blackmagic camera users will have to wait for these lenses. A Leica M-mount lens can be adapted to a L mount camera though.

[Simera-C lenses are compatible with Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras, Sony FX Cine camera, as well as the DJI Ronin 4D, RED cameras, and ARRI cinema cameras.
…Multiple mount options: native Sony E-mount and Leica M-mount available. Additional mount variations are planned to be brought to the market in the future.]

On the subject of mounts, I wish BMD will produce a L mount for the URSA Mini Pro line, starting with the 4.6K G2 and on. I think that would sell to current and prospective owners who wants to stay on the URSA Mini Pro camera line.
