After the last upgrade of Davinci Resolve Studio (I think) my Ursa Mini Broadcast 2 audio will crackle, pop, distort, etc. whenever noise reduction is applied. Darn near sent the thing back. Tried a full restart on the camera, that was fun (sarc). Finally I played back a clip before color grading. No snap, crackle, pop. Hmmmm...... Applied noise reduction (filming at 12db) and Voila!, snap crackle pop! This just threw a huge monkey wrench in my work flow. Do they test this stuff before putting it out there?

So because you applied noise reduction to your image in Resolve, you thought the playback issues must be a defective camera? That’s not exactly what I would call a chain of deductive conclusions.

I’d be more inclined to think the camera was defective before Resolve. Color correction inducing audio artifacts is something of a deductive stretch. Good to know Resolve is defective and not the cam fwiw.

Good Luck

It was a huge relief to me. Thought for sure I fried something in my pre's. Just for fun I unlinked the video and audio and moved the audio forward. I played only the video portion and sure enough audio artifacts were there.
