The new Blackmagic camera app 2.1 has an issue with the "Record LUT to Clip" option.
When you set Color space to Apple Log - HDR, then switch ON Display LUT & "Record LUT to Clip" the subsequent recording is not recorded in the correct color space/output as you see in the display prior and during recording.
Could Blackmagic look into this and issue a fix ASAP please?
There is no issue when recording and playing back in Rec.&09 color space.
iPhone 15 Pro Max
iOS 18.0.1

Haven’t tried that. But I see the Camera Shift issue with stabilization is still there. So one more bug that hasn’t been resolved that is hopefully fixes in 2.2.
Otherwise, things seem to work fine with regards the other features. The Camera Control works, and so does the various options while using it. Still not too sure about the Camera Control on Apple’s end. Seems to be a bit of an “eh” new addition.

Got the issue, too.
When I set the Color tag to rec709 the resulting file has rec2020 set.

Same issue here. And the weird thing is that it only happens when savingthe file as HEVC or H.264. So my current workaround is to save in ProRes.
To be clear, the issue is when the recording color space is AppleLog and the final file with the LUT baked is in Rec.709.
No matter what I do the final file is recorded as Rec.2020, so the iPhone does the necessary interpretation of the file and shows it with weird colors.
If I open the same file in Final Cut and force it to be read as Rec.709 the it is fine.
This means the problem is only in the tag and not in the color space itself.

Same Issue. Badly need a fix!
And yes, only Color Tag is set to Apple Log in the LUT options.
