I see a few posts out there about compatible lenses, but I know things change all the time and I see nothing about the G2. I have a lot of experience editing and even directing broadcast news, but building a studio is new to me. So, I may need some dumbed down answers.
Do I only need to worry about compatibility if I need the zoom controlled?
Is there a 2024 updated list of cameras for the G2?
Does the G2 still only have the four thirds connector, or can it handle EF connections as well?
Are there any recommendations for lenses? I'd be looking for something for a wide angle and something with some zoom. I'm teaching right now, and a lot of the work we will do will be based around school musicals. So, we are dealing with some low-light situations.
As far as hardware goes, we are getting 3 of the Studio Camera 4K Plus G2s and using the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO switcher. I'll probably just set up SDI, but we are looking at the converters to use cat6 as well. We will probably upgrade to the cat6 later.
