Pyxis 6K Custom V-Mount Battery Adapter

I finally caved and got the L-mount pyxis instead of waiting for the EF mount. I finally got the chance to try my custom V-mount Adapter I made back in April when I first pre-ordered the camera. To be clear I only modified an already made adapter by shortening the spacer between the plates. The adapter works well for what it is. I will be fine tuning it with a more narrow V-mount plate that I own for a more cleaner look. Even with this plate, it does not block the SDI ports and everything is working fine. I have tried both the 98Wh and smaller 50WH batteries and no problems with either. I'm only able to post 3 images in this post.

Nice work on the hack. In the original configuration it looks like it wouldn’t take more than a bump to break off the battery tabs.

Good Luck

Actually is it pretty robust with the metal housing. Working pretty well for me.

Are the battery tabs on the Pyxsis alloy or plastic?

Good Luck

A bit late to the party but do you have a more detailed explanation as to how you modified the v-mount adapter? Yours is one of the flushest I have seen and trying to build out a compact v-mount rig as well, so would be interested to learn more.
