Sirui Jupiter vs Meike S35

Hi,

I'm trying to choose a set of Cine lenses (24, 35 & 50mm) for my Pocket 6k Pro. Based on my budget I've narrowed it down to either the Meike S35mm or the Sirui Jupiter.

I like the fact that the Jupiter is macro and full frame (in case I use a full frame camera in the future). I like the fact that the Meike S35 is lighter (good for gimbal work). Based on the reviews I've seen it also looks like the image may be a bit better (less colour fringing etc...).

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Matthew

Hey Matthew,

I have used both many times on the 6K Pro and also other BM cameras. I actually sold my Meikes since having the Jupiters. I love the Meikes and used them for years and they're definitely smaller and lighter but full frame lenses are slightly more future proof and the macro capabilities are a nice touch!

Cheers,
Flo

Hey Flo,

Thanks for getting back to me. I love your YouTube channel by the way. I've seen your videos on both sets of lenses.

I understand what you are saying about the full frame lenses being more future proof. Which do you think produces nicer images?

Thanks
Matthew

Just FYI, today only, B&H has the Sirui Anamorphic for only $299 (75mm 1.8) and $400 (50mm) for selected lens mount.

Thanks Ellory, that's a crazy good deal on those Sirui Anamorphic lenses. Unfortunately they don't do those in EF-mount.

Although the Sirui Jupiters look great, I'm leaning towards the Meike S35 as they are smaller, lighter, a bit cheaper and from what I've seen they seem to have fewer artifacts and match more consistently throughout the set in terms of colours etc...
