Is there any news about firmware updates to roll out the expanded anamorphic desqueeze options to the cinema camera 6K? I must admit, the glacial pace of ongoing camera support is frustrating.

It is difficult to say. Unless I've missed something, BMD hasn't announce a "Sony-style" firmware roadmaps so the only way to know for sure would be to follow the link in the support portal and ask them directly (which I recommend doing).
