OK, so I just received my PYXIS PL about a week ago. I have been trying to rig it up using existing stuff I own. The 1st problem I have run into is the front USBC EVF port. When I use a screw-locking USBC cable, I can't lock the PL mount on my lens. The OEM PL mount "tabs" block the USBC when using the standard blackmagic locking cables that are straight not angled. You seem to need a 90-degree screw locking cable, which strangely the press pictures for the not released Pyxis Monitor kit show a straight locking cable, but the introduction videos for the monitor show 90-degree screw locking USBC cables.
Does anyone make screw center-locking USBC cables that are 90-degree and are shortish in length? Google helped me track down a 1m long cable, but that is a bit too long for a handle-mounted monitor.
Has anyone found a solution for this? FYI: I am currently using an L adapter with a cable, but don't want to damage the USBC port over time with any cable movement.
I am pretty new to Blackmagic so I don't know if they will release a 90-degree cable intended for Pyxis monitor separately from buying the whole monitor kit, which I don't want to do for a simple cable.
Thanks,
Cheers,
Corey
