Fluorescent Light Fixture Caused Strobing BMCC EF

Hey guys, I've opened a trouble ticket with Blackmagic but am awaiting a reply. I've noticed under some fluorescent lights I see a strong flicker as well as a faint and thick, dark bar (not the bar that shows up if the image is underexposed) in my footage. I can recreate this at will at a location we've started using. At first I chalked it up to a sensor limitation but whilst shooting yesterday, I tried our BMPCC and found the issue did not occur. I know it's not the same exact sensor, but I was concerned since they are based off similar architecture that something might be wrong with my BMCC.

Anyone else experience this before? I should also mention it shows up regardless of framerate or shutter angle. ISO doesn't matter either. It's just in this lighting setting.

Which light is it? I've had that problem with the westcott ice light.

By default i shoot 24 fps at 180 degree shutter angle. But I get banding from fluorescents on my bmcc when using this setting. I change the angle to 144 degrees and the banding goes away.

I dont know why and I don't ask.

But try that. 24fps and 144 degrees. Works for me.

Next time I'm there I'll play around with it but I tried different frame rates and shutter angles and the strobing continued. I just don't understand why the Pocket is not susceptible to this same behavior.
