Hi,
I have a question about the battery life of Pyxis with bp-u battery. How much do you get from good brand 98w bpu battery, like Core or Swit?

I tested mine, Core Nano U98X, full charge recorded 1hr 13 min Open Gate Q5, also powering (through ptap) an external 5in video recorder (while recording) supplying phantom power.

I had hoped it would go longer, since my buddy powers his 6K with a 98 v mount, and it lasts all day!

It should be better under 9.2

Got 1h13 in Open Gate with a Sony 35 BPU at home after the update (was 49 before). A 98 should give around 3h in that case in theory. I have a Core SWX 98 and haven't tested it yet but I have used for more than 2h outside before.

It was before or after 9.2 update?

I saw your video about Pyxis monitor and 9.2 update, it was great!

It is so nice that now - with Pyxis Monitor - we get about the same battery life as before the update without the monitor.

55 mins for camera+monitor on 35w bpu in theory means that we get about 1.57 minute per watt, so - again, in theory - 98w battery should last 2 hours and 34 minutes (camera+monitor).

But this is only the theory, I would be pleased if you could make a battery life test (camera+monitor) with that core 98w. If we get about 2:30, it would be incredibly great.

I agree as my theatrical recording requires at least 2:30, but personally I’d put a larger battery anyway for worry-free setup and so on. A 130Wh minimum battery as long as you’re not flying with your kit. If flying, I’d buy two 98Wh batteries.

I haven't updated mine, it's 9.1. I think I will asap though, if it will increase battery life!
