Repair shop in LA BMPCC6 Warranty lapsed

PostTue Jan 07, 2025 8:46 pm

I need my IR filter on my BMPCC6 replaced, but because the camera is "obsolete" BM won't do it. The part exists- have confirmed. Can anyone recommend someone in LA to replace the part? Obviously not looking for anything authorized, since fixing the camera at all is not authorized and their service techs will not recommend anyone, just suggested I ask in the forum. Thank you!

If you are comfortable with screw driver, it’s quite easy, three screw to unmount.
Kolari do this kind of filter with frame for different Blackmagic cameras.

And you can find videos on YT showing how to do it. Just work in a very clean environment.
