Digital Zoom UI Present on SDI Out (Double-Tapping Screen)

PostMon Feb 24, 2025 6:32 pm

I just ran into an issue with the UMP 12K where the digital zoom interface when you double tap the screen shows up on SDI out on both ports, with or without clean feed enabled. Both of my cameras do this, and are up to date on software (8.1). Has anyone else run across this?

Anyone else with the 12K OLPF model see this on SDI output?

Anyone else on the forum here that has the Ursa Mini Pro 12K OLPF with the latest software update? Can you verify the zoom UI is present on SDI out even when set to clean feed?

Hi David,

I just checked this now on my UMP12K, and confirm this is the case -- but there is a workaround:

Go to SETUP/page 4 -- set F1 PARAMETER to FOCUS ZOOM. Under F1 PARAMETER DISPLAYED ON, turn off MAIN SDI or whichever output you wish to disable mirroring the focus zoom-in.

This applies when F1 PARAMETER is set to FOCUS ZOOM. The behavior becomes kind of wonky if you go to other parameters like FALSE COLOR and re-enable MAIN SDI. Focus zoom will stay off until you menu back to that item, when it re-enables MAIN SDI (because you enabled it for FOCUS ZOOM). It's difficult to describe and I'd suggest you experiment to better grasp, or if you're never in this page set it as I have done in the attachment and leave it be!

The most current build is 8.1, and AFAIK hasn't been updated in 2 years.
