Mirrorless support?

Hi!
Simple question, probably naive.
I often see BMCC users shooting with Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II Art lens, which is DSLR format.
I'd like to try the Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art, but it is mirrorless.
I didn't really find a confirmation that BMD cameras could use DSLR and mirrorless lenses.
It is supported?

It all depends on the flange depth. An EF mount can normally only take EF lenses or the few with longer flange depth, while an L-mount or MFT can take a whole lot with adapters.
And then, a lens made for APS-C or S-35 will not fully cover a photographic full frame, but can be used windowed.

Blackmagic support two mirrorless mounts natively,
L mount
MFT mount
So yes, they do support mirrorless lenses.
But I think that’s not your question.
You have a version of a lens you want to try. The answer is yes, if it’s available as one of the above mounts.

Yes, I talk about L-mount Sigma lenses for Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K with no lens adapter.

An L mount lens will fit a camera with L mount, of course. You'll just be limited by the image circle, on the wide end in particular.

I’ll be most fascinated with Mirrorless Lens support when Autofocus is available. Otherwise, keep me in the manual focus PL Cinema Lens family. Haha.
Yes, PYXIS L Mount and BMCC6K with L Mount will work with L Mount Mirrorless Lenses. I have the Sigma DG DN for E Mount and love them with my Sony A7IV for stills.
Hey, Blackmagic could you please do a dedicated Stills Camera. Use the 12K sensor, L Mount, and keep it compact as a body. I’d use that for stills in unison with your cinema cameras in a heartbeat. And, please keep the menu simple like you do with the cinema line. I hate Sony menus and their UI is too cluttered. Solve this and I’m yours.

I hate Sony menus too, even if they have been improved a bit recently.
But their AF and auto exposure are far beyond what BM could offer. Of course, BM's new sensor technology would be pure joy for manual shooting with all my ancient glass!
