PYXIS SDI STOPPED WORKING ON SET THEN STARTED BACK LATER!

Has anyone had this issue. I was on set and asked a grip to grab me a fresh Vmount and he tried to be helpful by yanking the battery off the camera which I thought fried the SDI. Using every single one of the cables I had and re routing the sdi though the transmitter and looping it directly through every monitor i had on set still nothing. So i determined it was fried. Yet sent it back tot he rental house and a couple days later they said everything is fine. Its all working no problems! So what the hell happened? Can anyone tell me a possible reason? Maybe it has a failsafe to not fry the SDI? I did feel like the camera was getting very hot as well. Is that a possible issue? Anyone from Blackmagic have an anser?

If your transmitters/monitors only support HD, check that the output didn’t switch to UHD.
