When I leave a b-mount battery connected to my URSA Cine 12k LF, I notice that the battery continues to drain even when the camera is off. Is this expected? I have a Bebob 155, and it will drain 25% over 2-3 days if connected to camera and camera is off. Anyone else experiencing this? There is nothing connected, not even the EVF.

Likely yes. A battery on my URSA Mini Pro 4.7K and 12K both do the same thing. The other thing to expect is that the clock should be checked or reset before every shoot.

Best practice I believe is removal of the battery after camera shutdown at the end of a shoot. I remove my battery and it generally retains charge until I recharge it just before the next shoot.

Not an Ursa Cine 12k LF owner yet, but this seems common among a lot of cameras including some I already own. Solution with my Sony mirrorless rig was to use a (V-mount) battery plate with a physical power cut switch, without that the electronics in the plate, and maybe the camera too, will slowly drain the battery even with everything powered off and accessories disconnected.
Some 3rd party plate makers (also Cineback, RigidPro box-camera adapters) have this feature, but I have not seen it with any OEM battery plate.

All of my batteries ... Gold V and Sony L series drop when not connected to a camera ...
Best practice is to put them on charger night before a big do ...
Used to fly single engine airplanes as a hobby ... would never think
of launching without topping up ...
