Shutter angle vs shutter speed in the Blackmagic app

Hi Blackmagic team,

I noticed something a bit puzzling and was hoping you could shed some light on it. On my iPhone 16 Pro Max, the Blackmagic Camera app shows the shutter unit as shutter angle (in degrees). But when I use the same app on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, it still shows the shutter as shutter speed (in fractions of a second).

I understand that shutter angle and shutter speed are interchangeable, but it does take a bit of extra time to convert between them when switching devices. I am just curious was there a reason behind this change?

Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work!

All the best,
Will

You can change that in the camera settings at any time.

If you shoot with different frame rate often, shutter angle is more comfortable than shutter speed.
With this exception, it’s all matter of taste
