Why is there still no autofocus features for BMPCC6K?

I've seen that there have been new updates for the Black Magic 6k Cinema Camera that adds auto focus features. Why would the same update not work for the BMPCC6k?

There is an auto focus button built into the BMPCC6k that accurately focuses the lens with a tap of a button. Why could there not be an update that adds continuous autofocus using the same built-in autofocus feature that the BMPCC6k already has? Is it really easier to build an external button-pressing robot that presses the focus button for you than to just add a continuous autofocus feature in camera?

To me, it seems like Black Magic has given up on bringing new features to their previous cameras after releasing a new model for around the same price. I really hope they keep coming out with updates and not just give up on the customers that bought the Pocket Cinema Camera line.

Kristian has mentioned this before on the forums. Here is the response on autofocus for pocket 6k pro and would apply to the rest of the pockets as well: "Unfortunately no. There is single shot contrast based autofocus in the 6K Pro, but it won't be possible to implement continuous autofocus since the sensor has no PDAF pixels."

It would make sense if BMD released a new pocket camera - including autofocus.
