All recordings to external Lexar 2TB SSD for 3x seconds
Use take two and three as reference takes (I botched the start by inadvertently moving the mouse by my elbow;-)
Material used below is ALWAYS the first 30 seconds of a 25 fps UHD HLG recording (as specified below).
The cuts are imported into Final Cut Pro 11.1.1
First take (first 30 seconds on 25fps HDR (HLG) timeline):

The takes were part of a larger set, but these three takes clearly illustrate the problem exhibited by the Blackmagic Camera App, where the lead-in to each file (Blackmagic only) clearly shows a wobbly start in the color information, as displayed in the Parade.
Roughly the first 4-9 seconds of each BMC take (ProRES 422 or h265 54 mbit/sec) have a very “flakey behaviour” probably the main cause of instability in the frame rate.
The last take - Apple Camera App (ProRES 422HQ) does NOT exhibit the problem at all. Parade is as solid as could be expected from the get go.
Screenrecording was made to a HDMI connected Atomos Ninja V connected via HDMI (60 fps) as duplicated screen of my MacBook Pro 14 M1 Pro (screen: Apple XDR Display (P3-1600 nits) and cut somewhat to size in Quicktime (resulting in 1 min 35 sec 2.76 GByte recording saved as HEVC 60 fps nominal 230 megabit/sec BT.2020 HLG 4:2:2 10-bit UHD).

NOTE: The Link is showing a screen recording of the behaviour during playback in Final Cut Pro 11.1.1, and the effect should be easily reproduced, by other iPhone users. The scene is my “standard video torture corner”, where behaviour and environment is easily reproduced and well known over the years.
