Sorry if this is slightly off-topic, but it pertains to a defective Pyxis monitor that I recevied recently. The panel and backlighting was damaged right out of the box and judging by the good state of the packaging it was probably defective right out of the factory and not damaged in transit.
Now I am trying to get this monitor replaced with a new unit which for any other kind of electronic equipment has never been an issue for me, but its a bit strange here with Blackmagic. The seller is telling me that returns are handled through Blackmagic directly. When I reached out Blackmagic support they said to contact their German Reseller NMAV, which is not the reseller that I bought it from. They insisted that it should be sent there for evaluation and repair, which seems like they are treating this like a warranty case which in my opinion it isn't. From my view it should be a simple return and replace with a new, working product, especially as I put the reseller on notice within 14 days of the purchase.
I realise that the Pyxis is an incredible cheap monitor and probably part of the reason why the quality control is so poor. What I don't understand is this incredible convoluted return process. Someone here on the forum who could enlighten me? Or people who have had similar experiences?
