UltraScope doesn't work

PostSat Jul 05, 2014 10:55 am

I just tried the UltraScope with my BMCC and brand new MacBook Pro with 15" retina.
After starting the program I get the message:

"UltraScope could not configure the capture hardware"

What's wrong here, this is one of the reasons I bought the new MBP?
Anybody?

thanks

Are you running the version of UltraScopes that gets installed with the Camera Utility? It won't work with the standalone version, you need to use the one installed with the Camera Utility.

You also need to make sure that camera is connected via Thunderbolt and turned on before booting the Mac. Thunderbolt can be very fussy about that.

Thanks Adam.
I installed the update from BMD but I guess that was stupid.

Yeah BM sound make it clear that to use UltraScopes with the camera you need the version installed with the camera utility.

Glad you got it sorted.
