BMCC temperature sensitivity

PostSun Aug 26, 2012 5:24 am

I have been wondering how is the low temp operation.

Any limitations?

Lets say i go out in the winter and it goes below -10 celsius.

Does it affect sensor.

Probably will affect lcd and battery a lot. Regular cameras battery performance drops at least 75%.
Lcd will slow down as mad and all goes sort of slow motion usually.

Any test on that yet?

I was actually about to ask the opposite of this!

Is there a maximum operating temperature as well as a minimum operating temperature?

Cheers,

Toby

Hi,

I would not run the camera below 0 degrees Celsius and or at more than 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature.

Thanks.

Do you know what would happen below 0.

I ask this as we have to shoot sometimes in winter and outside.

I would be glad to test it for you some day :)
