Hello I have been looking through the posts using the search feature, but have been unable to find out more details in regard to the version of Pro Res HQ.

If anyone has the answers I would highly appreciate it.

1st. I know the RAW files are individual Images, but is that the same case with the Pro Res at least being TIFF's, PNG's or JPEG's.
2nd. What Bit size are the Pro Res files, I don't recall where I read this, but I remember seeing that it was 10-bits.
3rd. What actual size would the frames for the Pro Res files be?
4th. Obviously the 13 stops doesn't apply to Pro-Res, but what would be a fair estimation of stops on the Pro Res footage?

1. ProRes is in the Quicktime .mov wrapper/format.
2. 10bit

4. I think you do get pretty close to, if not all, the dynamic range. It's not quite as much as RAW supposedly, but it's really close from what I hear.

Basically it's an intra-frame, variable-bit-rate, professional quality codec wrapped in a Quicktime .MOV

Shooting in Film Dynamic Range should retain most of the DNR...

At 25fps it's 184mbps.

10-bit colour depth which means it has 4x the colour detail and about 3.5x less compression than your average 40mbps DSLR footage, though it's also intra-frame compression not inter-frame.
