Dear Black Magic
Would you kindly consider giving us the courtesy of a shipping answer. Answer any one of the following 7 statements would be helpful.
1. Problems solved, we are mass producing cameras and should be shipping significant quantity of cameras this coming week. Dec 3-7, 2012.
2. Problems solved, but we still need 1-2 weeks before we receive enough sensors to be able to ship significant amounts of cameras.
3. Problems solved but it will be 3-4 weeks before we receive enough sensors to be able to ship significant amounts of cameras.
4. Same as 2 & 3, but it will be longer than 4 weeks before we receive enough sensors to be able to ship significant amounts of cameras.
5. Same as above, problems solved but we still do not know when we are going to receive significant numbers of sensors and are able to ship significant amounts of cameras.
6. We still have problems with the sensor glass and cannot commit to a time frame.
7. We have run into another unsolved problem and cannot commit to a time frame.

Courtesy of ANY update would be nice.
Grant, it's incredibly disappointing that you continuously give a timeline on the next update and CONTINUOUSLY miss it. I wonder if you allow the same luxury to the people that report to you.

I guess so, otherwise all that misery wouldn't take that long...

wow, 970+ views in a couple of days and only 6-7 comments or +1's. I thought if we got 100 or more +1's, maybe they'd think it might be the right thing to do to give us an update.
I ordered my camera within hours of the announcement. I don't think I've complained or commented in the shipping thread. I can live without the camera, but the longer they go without some form of communication, the more I realize maybe I should just cancel my order and wait for 6+ months till after they ship in volume and then revisit whether I want one or not. It would then be a proven technology and probably cheaper.
I've wasted so much time visiting this web site 2+ time a day looking for updates. I'm an easy going guy, have owned Black Magic gear in the past, but I'm starting to wonder if a camera is worth this much effort and drama.
I just wasted another 5 minutes, so I'm out of here.

Don't judge othery by your own standards, there is a thread with 60 or so pages and they still don't reply.

+ 1. I'll add to it, Blackmagic should barred from doing government business. If you're a purchasing agent reading this, consider it.
Blackmagic sells the cheapest video equipment around so proposals with their products are always the lowest bid. However, they are actually selling you products they not only don't have on the shelf, they are selling you products they have yet to figure out how to build. Meanwhile, you're organization will pay thousands in rental fees while waiting on PO's to be filled.
