Hey guys,
Love the bmc, reviews and its qualities!

I want to buy one, before that I have some questions
About the workflow after the shooting.

1. Can the ssd drive inside the bmc work/communicate with the drive
In my iMac(FAT)? Thus tranferring the files from bmc to
My imac drive.
2. Which cable do i use for this? Usb 2.0? Firewire 800?
Faster cables like thunderbolt doesnt work because my imac drive
Is not ssd fast?

you cannot transfer files from the SSD to your iMac while it's installed in the BMCC.

To clarify...you can hook your BMCC to your iMac and perform dual capture. (write to your imac's HD and the installed SSD, but there is no file transfer protocol on the BMCC.

you need to attach your SSD to an external adapter to download the content to your imac. There are USB3 and Thunderbolt ones. They're not expensive.

The USB port on the BMCC is only used for firmware or software settings.

The Thunderbolt port is for live waveform monitoring in Ultrascopes and/or recording directly to your computer.

This, in my opinion is an absolute must....I have 2 of these to offload/redundancy copy....all via thunderbolt and doesn't take too long to back up to each other.

It'll also take any Seagate GoFlex drive and turn it into a thunderbold drive, abit, not as fast as an SSD ofcourse.
