Hard drive speeds and data rates

PostWed Dec 05, 2012 9:25 pm

For the data rates of RAW, what sort of hard drives will be needed to playback and edit in realtime?

Would a Lacie 6TB thunderbolt drive be fast enough (327Mb/s)?

Personally I'll be going with a Raid 0 setup on thunderbolt for editing...

That's the one I was looking at - the Lacie Big2 6TB thunderbolt has transfer speeds of more than 300Mb/s and can be daisy chained for increased speed....
