FAQ for the BMC camera?

PostFri Dec 14, 2012 7:20 pm

Hi,

Maybe there should be a comprehensive 'frequently asked questions' for the BMCC with a direct 'sticky' link from this forum?

I noticed a few repeated questions.

The FAQ could include things like current list of SSDs supported, why BMCC doesn't do higher frame rates, MFT mount is passive etc.

Somewhere in one place where people can look at before answering the same question.

Jules

P.S. If you have any questions that you think should be in the FAQ, do post here and maybe Blackmagic can answer it in the FAQ if they do one for the camera.

the lense compatibility list would also be helpful
(viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2472&p=14489#p14489 - one could add glass by other manufacturers too)

Some FAQs are available in the Support section of the website: http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support ... 542&os=mac

Additional suggestions are welcome though, of course.

Christine, you already know what I'd suggest since I've been asking for it since August or September:
Update the list of approved SSDs since it is out-of-date and incorrect and the list in the BMCC manual is more current; would be useful to know the SSDs that were tested and failed or why they failed as well so people don't have to experiment with drives that appear to have the right specifications but you know are flawed for purposes of using in the BMCC.
