Europe shipments

Dear members,
I'm wondering, did anyone get any camera's in the Europe region?
In the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg there have been 0 camera's delivered, and ETA is end of January, and i've checked all the official resellers, and non officials; which i find really disturbing since the US is getting shippings since November..
Also some Official retailers cancelled their preorders to BMD. (Belgium)
Are there any members here in Europe that did get shipments or are awaiting them?
UK received some shipments but other countries.
Why are there no shippings going to the others side (Europe)?
And we want to switch to MFT, but realisiticly this will mean that the camera will be here in July 2013...
Cheers,
Sico

Hi.
I was told a FEBRUARY delivery by my Norwegian reseller. They had a mail from Black Magic dated 18th Desember 2012. That was 4 days after the last Grant update, so I guess february it is in Norway
They also told me that Black Magics goal was to finish all preorders early summer 2013. If that was both EF and MFT, I don`t know.
Cheers

In the US people are more and more getting camera's...
And in Europe there are only some 'celeb' bloggers.
What's going on? or just 'its only europe, who cares'?

I'm in the UK. I ordered on 20 April.
I emailed all the dealers the day the camera was announce and the first one who could take my order was ProAV.
My camera arrived with them yesterday.
There have not been that many shipped so I'm sure we will start seeing them appear across the rest of Europe soon.

Hello,
My German distributor (Marcotec) don´t know any details when the cameras will be delivered to Germany. It´s very curious but even the general distributor in Germany doesn´t know anything.
They get no dealer information from Blackmagic.
Thanks Blackmagic to talk to your dealer...

Excactly the same here: I ordered in Germany at
http://www.steller-online.de/ and
http://cinestoxx.com/ . Would be nice if BMD at least talks to the general distributor of Germany. Hopefully the cameras are here in January.

Ordered in Finland last day of September.
The dealer (Hedcom) has sent e-mail on the situation Oct 8th, Nov 9th and Dec 18th, and has mostly posted information that has been found in the official updates in this forum + the link to relevant update. I appreciate that, probably they don't have any other info themselves.
Just hoping BMD will treat all the areas equally - and send cameras in relation to amounts and dates ordered. Still dont expect my own right away, as I ordered only in September... Projects are rolling all the time, though, and would really hope to get it soon...

Hi
I'm in Denmark and here is no news, I don't think there is a single camera here.
I ordered mine the 8. of may and the dealer don't know when it will arrive.
I can just sit here with my Tokina 11-16 mm lens and my new Sandisk SSD 480 gb HD and wait !

Most people who have received their orders so far ordered in April.
You may find that many EU dealers were slow to get their orders into Blackmagic.
I contacted 4 UK dealers the day the camera was announced and none of them could take my order as they had no info from the distributer. It was only the next day that the dealers got back to me. So they would have place their orders pretty early.
If you ordered in May the chances are you'll get your camera in January as the cameras seem to be shipping at a constant rate now.

Andrew Reid's camera was not a testing camera. It was the first customer order shipped by CVP in the UK. Andrew ordered his early on just as I did and was first on CVPs list.

It's the 3rd. Most businesses have only been back in the office for a day... Give them a chance.
Cameras need to clear customs and get to the distributor who then needs to allocate them to dealers.
They are on the way. Go have a coffee.

Its nearly impossible to get any official news from them directly.
Sorry for the bad news. ¨

It's not very encouraging when you imagine that BMD can make 500 cameras a month to fulfill 10,000 preorders in the worldwide queue...20 months to go. I would feel MUCH better if BMD would grace us with some better figures instead of ambiguous grey-speak like "mass production" and "full capacity". It's also not very encouraging knowing that they won't.

Now that the holidays are over... I guessing BMC should start seeing shipments of sensors in full production numbers.. I'm optimistic we'll start seeing more and more cameras getting into the loving arms of those that have pre-ordered.

Black Magic Design is soon reaching a critical phase where potential and real customers may desert en masse this BMCC never to come back, even if the camera becomes available after some time. The "grey speak" used in the official communication of the Company, is in my opinion, damaging its reputation. As pointed in several posts earlier, the evasive rhetoric produced, is totally counter productive. It may have been acceptable once, but not repeatedly.

They should have spoken about "sensor-problem" earlier!
And inform customers more often as possible!
Not just an update by month since october 2012!
We are more than "early on january" (7 of january).
One more empty promise!
We should wait for NAB 2013 with real annonce from others!

BMC, strategically speaking, must have a good number of units shipped prior to NAB because other companies may well have a similar camera ready for the world, but with enhanced features, i.e., full frame sensor, overcrank, etc. They need to get the money and market share while there's still an opportunity. I guarantee the competition is not sitting still. This competitive incentive works in most everyone's favor.
