Leica DG Summilux 25mm f1.4 on MFT mount?

Hi,

Further to my recent post, I did end up buying the Panasonic GH2 and 14-42mm lens (I don't suppose it's much of a lens but I had to make the body functional!)

I'm keen to get my hands on some lenses but am loathe to buy anything that I won't be able to use on the MFT BCC when the time comes. So my question is, would this Panasonic 25mm prime work on it? I know the BCC is a passive-mount, but this lens does have an aperture ring.

Going down the lens mount adapter route: a number of people I know seem to have Nikon DSLRs and lenses so wonder if it might be wise to get the appropriate adapter and nail my flag to the Nikon mast?!

Thanks and Merry Christmas :)

I think that panasonic lens might need power to focus.

The MTF mount with adapters opens up many lens options.

On the used market you could look at these relatively cheap options:
Nikon F (AI and AIS)
Canon FD
Olympus OM Zuiko
Contax C/Y (some nice Zeiss glass out there)

You can also look at new MTF lenses:
Voigtländer
SLR Magic
Samyang

On top of your point about power it seems the version with an aperture ring was an older but similarly named 4/3 version and not this one so I'll give this a miss.

Thanks for your reply and pointers on the lenses too.
