btw ... I ordered right after NAB2012 .....

I'm sorry to hear that. I thought that a steady stream of cameras would be arriving by now. :(

By the way: I ordered mine during NAB so at least that would explain why I recently received mine.

Teltec Gmbh (from Germany) has already received around 15 BMC!

What is the logic???

Other reseller just one in "demo"!

They Don't Care About Us

I was number 8 on the waiting list at BPM/Germany in mid-february. Still number 8 as of today - no movement at all. Seems like Teltec got all the cameras of the latest batch :(

I think it doesn't make sense to insult Blackmagic as their sitting in Australia and apparently don't know whats going on in Europe.
But I can't understand it, too. Just Germany has a population of over 80 million people.. So horrible that every second european orders in Japan, america and Australia just to get the camera.

This proves that the applied distribution system is lacking evenly distribution.
It also reinforces the misconception that there aren't many europeans who preordered the camera ( just because almost every europeean knew that america would have a better starting point to get more shipments and ordered at adorama or B&H in the first place --> without even considering a german reseller).

Some of my friends ordered from UK and they do not have any cameras yet.

I ordered from local reseller but no information either.

600 € customs fee seems ok compared the long waiting list if you are in hurry and you have
jobs that pay.

Here reseller gives me 2800€ price but no info when and if i get my cam.

So customs fee seems really ok to me at the moment.

Yeah ok you're right... I wouldn't have done it if I wouldn't have a bunch of payed jobs where it just makes sense to invest a little.

The only thing that bugged me a little was that I sort of "wasted" ~120 EUR because DHL did ignore my plea to declare it as a "Digital Camera" (0% Import Duty here in Germany) but instead they declared it as a "Video Camera" (4.7% Duty). Ah but whatever... ;)
Just got a Sandisk 480GB and will meet my friends from ReWo today or tomorrow and get their "cage" system.. can't wait :)

You mean from the time I ordered it? I only did order because one reseller in Melbourne still hat 1 on stock. My friends in Melbourne received it directly next day. And then from the day DHL picked it up it took 3 days. So it would have taken 4 days in total if my friends wouldn't have been so busy ;) .. because of their work hours it took nearly 2 weeks. (DHL office hours in Australia are a bit on the short side of things ;o)

My reseller (AF Marcotec) has still only received one camera (their demo unit). Is there any other reseller in europe where I could expect a faster delivery? I'm really getting frustrated.

Order in the US and have it shipped to Europe...

My local reseller has gotten a total of 3 cameras by now, with a waiting list of 15, so I will have to wait at least 3-6 more months for anything...

Switched to Adorama, they seem to have a 6 week delivery cycle... we'll see...

I don't really want to pay the extra 19% tax for importing into the eu... but this seems to be the only option to receive the camera any time soon.
