Just wondering if there will be anyone going this year and will Blackmagic have any representation. I know it's more about general consumer electronics but just wondered.

CES is a consumer electronic focused show. Would more expect to see Blackmagic at NAB.

No, we don't have anyone at CES, but I wish I could have seen that keynote in person!
The next big show for us in the United States is NAB. Will you guys be there?

Apparently that keynote was quite something to behold (OMFG!):

I haven't been to NAB in years. In the past I've worked the show as an exhibitor. Those were the days. NAB & Photokina are a grind! The internet
almost replaces the shows.
Cheers.

Neither did I but sometimes you get small representation at these shows thorough third companies. Canon also have their complete Cinema Eos range of cameras and Lenses there.

Turns out, Blackmagic gave Tiffen a camera to plop onto one of their Steadicam rigs for CES. Tiffen had NO idea if the camera even turned on (which I promptly did myself) and played with the menus for a bit.

Flying the BMCC, that's what I'm looking for. What version steadicam rig was that, and did it (rig & picture) all work out fine...any issues?

I believe the BMCC was attached to the Steadicam Pilot - at the base was an SDI monitor (looked like a 7") and a battery pack at the rear of the unit.
I was only able to play with it for maybe 10mins, but really there were no issues flying the camera on that rig. The camera+lens weighed in at about 7lbs (no SSD).
I've owned a Glidecam Smooth Shooter for ages now (you can see some of my Glidecam shots here: ) and will for sure be using it for the BMCC as well.

I like your shot on the golf course with the bagpiper. That looks like the Newcastle golf course overlooking the Seattle area... beautiful view! You have some very nice smooth money shots.

Forgot to mention, we have a few folks headed out to Slamdance this weekend in Park City, Utah. We have a "Fireside Chat" at 4pm on Saturday, Jan. 19 to talk about using Resolve and the BMCC for independent films with hands-on demonstrations, followed by a Happy Hour at 5pm.
