You need to make sure your SSD will be fast enough to record in RAW format. In the BMCC manual (
http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/media/4 ... Manual.pdf), there are some SSD's that Blackmagic recommend specifically for RAW recording.
As for the dealer 3di synthese, they always sell top-notch stuff, they are specialized in video gear and just ask them if the SSD deal they offer allow for RAW recording on the BMCC. They have tested the camera during vacation so this is stuff they know. Half of the video/software here comes from 3di synthese : )
Another option: Amazon offer some great deals on the SSDs recommended by blackmagic, I bought mine 50% off.
p.s. Any battery of any camera will run out faster in cold conditions. My concern was if the case was able to handle wet / snow conditions (+cold) and I think Peter's link show there are no problems on that side. I think you must plan for an alternate source of power if you use the BMCC.
