Dear Blackmagic, how about a Shipping Update!

PostThu Jan 10, 2013 3:15 pm

I would be really nice if you give us a serious shipping update !!!!!! Many people have been very patient with you and your delays. Now it's time to maintain your customers and to communicate openly with them, right now. Let's start with a lot of motivation in the year 2013 for upcoming projects with your great product, the Cinema Camera. Well BM, please give us an update and lets ship a lot of cameras !

Thank you

Opening a new thread won't do any more than the one that is already open...

I'm just getting fed up of my father getting in touch with me every week saying ''has that camera arrived yet? Get your money back boy.'' Every Week! Even Calumet doesn't reply to me anymore when I send them emails asking about dates lol (actual fact...).

I have the feeling these problems are going to put a very dark thundercloud above the whole BMCC.

People are loosing trust in this Camera. That is a shame because i still think it is a good product. Only communication from BMD about this product is not what it should be..

There are actually 3 things in any production that sums up your work:

Image

And these 3 can't go together, you always have to sacrifice some of those things in any production.
For example: you could waste a month (-time) doing roto and mattes for rendering perfect outcome (+quality) - BUT it will cost ALOT to the client (+price).

OR you could make an awesome cinema camera (+quality) with a really nice price for customers (+price), but you couldn't catch up with a mass production (-time), because it's simply impossible.

just my 2 cents.

My son turns 3 tomorrow. I'm training him to shoot video so by the time the camera ships, he'll be an expert and I can just sit back and let that teenager kid do his thing.

really?? racist??? if it were a white woman, would it be different?? there's nothing more racist than trying to be so pollitically correct with people just because their colour of their skin....it's something that at least to me is not important....anyway it got deleted I don't know why!!! it was a funny statement, if they don't want to get critizised they shouldn't create a forum. It kind of reminds me of another forum that can not be told.

Bye people, bye!!!

The fact that she was black AND the manner in which the text was written/spelled is derogatory and yes, racist. The text wouldn't have been written that way if she was white. That's the point.

Anyway, I didn't say it was horrible and demand for it to be deleted. I said I found a "LITTLE" racist.

That's my opinion, which I'm completely free to share.

Also, at no point has black magic ever stopped anyone from openly criticizing them over the current issue. This forum has hundreds if not thousands of these posts.

I imagine they deleted your post due to the poor taste of it's content, not the message. You'd have to ask them though, I'm just guessing.
