Well they dont have a manual aperture ring.....I was under the impression The ZE's were not yet successful with the BMCC....can I change the aperture on the ZE's with BMCC?

The ZE is a Canon EF mount. The Aperture is controlled from the camera. This is supported on the EF version of the BMCC.

Check the list of compatible lenses here:

These are tested by users of the camera and the list is updated as often as possible.

The Zeiss ZE's are great lenses. I would not give them up. I have the ZF.2 version. That is because I prefer a manual click free aperture.

I haven't checked that list in while...last I checked I didn't see my lenses on there so I assumed they weren't supported. I misunderstood, that list is just the lenses that are so far tested by users right? Guess I need to stay plugged in to make sure I get the latest. Hey, thanks a lot man...this makes me very happy! :D

The Zeiss ZE's work great. the aperture is controlled by pressing the forward/backward buttons on the back of the camera. Right now you can't see what aperture you are using but hopefully in the next firmware they will add this feature to the display.

Thanks man, I really hope they fix that in the next firmware update. But Im at least happy to hear the ZE's are functioning properly.
