Adorama BMCC PreOrder status

When I checked my order yesterday I found out the BMPC 4K order had been cancelled back in June. I had no idea how that had happened, so I emailed Helen who is always helpful.

She told me that Blackmagic had instructed them not to ship this camera outside US because they weren't allowed to. And I live in Europe.

Can anyone at Blackmagic please explain this ? When I ordered back in April there was no saying about that. I ordered my BMCC from Adorama and had zero problems with that.

Hi Helen. How likely am I to get a Pocket Cinema camera if I preorder now, by the end of the year? I know its a crazy question...but I really want to order one, but the past shipping quantities have me scared.

Helen, you pointed to the unreleased BMPC4K production camera, but the question was if the BMCC EF 2.5K cinema camera was in stock.

I have no idea; I don't know how many back-orders we have; when future shipments are scheduled for, or how many units will be on each shipment. I'm really sorry.
