SDI output HD or SD?

PostMon Jan 28, 2013 6:46 pm

Trying to set up a BMCC on a Steadicam. Is the SDI output HD or SD? The sled I have is HD-SDI, does it matter either way if its SD or HD out of camera as long as the cable and monitor can support HD?

The output is HD 1080p (options are 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 & 30 fps)

And just to add to Adam's post: The BMCC's HD-SDI output is progressive video ("1080p"), not interlaced or PsF, so attached monitors must be compatible with a progressive signal (some are, some aren't). Check the specs closely.

Nice, the Marshall monitor I have does receive "p" for sure.

Thanks,
