I'm having a shoot with my BMCC next week which will involve some green screen shots. Therefor I planned to use the thunderbolt-output from the camera to get scopes with my macbook on set. Thunderbolt-cable came in today and I unsuccessfully tried to get UltraScopes (both camera-included and recent Version 1.8.3) running.
Startup failed
UltraScope could not configure the capture hardware.
Having read
this thread I don't think we can expect an update that brings back UltraScopes for the older cameras soon, so now I'm searching for an alternative.
Both Blackmagic Media Express and Adobe Premiere Pro can display the video feed from the thunderbolt-cable but neither has a full-screen display option or scopes.
DaVinci Resolve 12 is no option either as it simply crashes when I select BMCC as input and try to display live (but that might be due to my old macbook).
If anyone knows software that provides scopes or even a fullscreen display of the BMCC-thunderbolt connection, that would help a great deal.
