Two short commercials for a regional bank. Since I'm located in Germany, I'll try to explain the idea … the couple needs something bigger and with the "wish credit" they can make their dreams come true.

I shot this over 7 hours in Istanbul Turkey.
http://www.vimeo.com/merticgoren/otobanI used resolve for grading, but I'm not really happy about it and for some reason I still can't upload to Vimeo in good quality, it feels like Vimeo still compresses the file too much.
Hope you like it !

Shot with cheap eastern steadicam bought on ebay .
BMCC MFT + speedbooster and mainly a Nikon 24mm
vimeo.com/75775646
Im not a steadicam operator , but love the feel of crafting shots with a floating camera and This rig seems to work ok , havent flown a authentic Steadicam for a few years ( i did a 1 week course many moons back ) but for the price - this is pretty cool ( i just got it for my own personal projects ) . I'm sure to try out a Movi or similar soon , it will be interesting to feel the difference . Theres just something about flying a steadicam that feels nice , putting in gentle touches here and there and moving like a ninja doing a tango . I guess you have a different relationship with each tool.

Hi,
here's a 36 min. documentary we shot on the BMCC (prores, due to storage capacity issues):
http://www.taiteilijantyo.fi/taiteilijan-työ-english.html (you need to copy-paste the URL rather than click on it).
The colorist, who's a really top notch professional, said there are probably two clips where he could tell this is not an Alexa. We were certainly pleased: when shots are properly lit, the BMCC can easily compete with the more expensive cameras.
cheers,
Janne

Nice stuff Mattias! Surprised how well the super over exposed sea shot (raw) worked when corrected.
Do you prefer ACR in AE or Filmconvert for raw with the pocket camera?

This looks better than usual... Good job. Certainly great, subtle coloring. Some bad camerawork was left in, shaky, or indecisive movements. Otherwise, I'm impressed.
Here's my attempt at documentary-like style and you can clearly see I'm still struggling with coloring this camera. Shot raw and then destroyed by compression and youtube
And yes, yet another dose of another unusual language...

I made a short horror for the
Bloody Cuts Horror Challenge (did anyone else here?).
Here it is on Vimeo:
I had bigger plans but ran out of time so I made this in about three days and just made the deadline. An evening to shoot, a day to edit/grade/vfx and a day for sound.
With the BMCC I love being able to let things go really dark and disappear into black. No matter how high I crank up the bitrate on my hacked Panasonic GH1 it stubbornly decides that anything slightly dark is not worth spending bits on.
Click for big!Click for big!Click for big!Shot in RAW with a Tokina 11-16 f2.8. The grading was just applying a modified Kodak LUT and adjusting exposure on the individual clips.

Still from music video we are working on for Italian artist Mr Antonio Signioreli.
Shot on BMCC EF / Tokina 11-16 in RAW format graded in Resolve 10 and downscaled to 1080p
This video still is shot on 50D RAW ML at 2000 x 910 and Tamron 17-50 color matched in Resolve 10 then croped to 2.39.
Really like having 2 of these 50D ML's with different lens or rigs on hand for fast pick ups here and there while keeping BMCC as A cam ,they would be pain for continueus shoot otherwise.
A funny test video of BMPCC with heavy tele lenses

I've shot with old Nikkor 300 mm (860 on BMPCC) and a 200 mm (580 mm on BMPCC) lenses (plus a new Tamron 28-300 at the 300 end). It was a hard but amazing experience:

I believe I posted the first 40 seconds of this earlier in the thread, but since then I've started work on a story and I composed and recorded more music, which inspired more visuals. This started off as just a test of the Pocket Camera and some lighting ideas, but it may lead to a lot more. See the description on the vimeo page for technical details:

Here's one more test which included the Pocket Camera. I purchased a green screen backdrop from B&H (Botero 10'x24') and challenged myself to insert four instances of myself, believably lit, into a background photo, performing various actions. This required quite a bit of planning, and I'm really excited to keep perfecting the technique, considering the fact that entire movies are sometimes filmed this way:
I tried to upload a still, but I got a message that "the board attachment quota has been reached." (lame!)

Hello,
very impressive.
In one of your video descriptions I saw that you also do use the "big" Panasonic 12-35 2.8. I have this lens, too - but I am thinking about buying the 14 2.5 for my BMPCC as an extra. Looking at the natural behavior of people you filmed, this lens must be ideal for "stealth mode" on the BMPCC, whereas the 12-35 2.8 makes the whole thing look like a serious mirrorless camera an attracts more attention.
From your experience: Would you say, that there does exist a huge quality difference between the 14mm 2.5 and the 12-35 2.8 @ 14mm at the same aperture settings ?
Thanks!
the 12-35 lens

Hello metamind,
I can say that the 12-35 is a really good lens and it adds a lot to the ergonomy of the whole thing. you can hold the camera very stabile with this - beside of the quality of the glass.

After all those sharp clean pictures now to something completely different:
I tried to film in infrared with the bmpcc.
Just a shot out of the window to the northside on a cloudy day. Not good in image quality and photographic image, I know. But I wanted to be the first who checked this out.
Heliopan RG720 filter. Holded by hand in front of the slrm 12, because I have no adapter and I needed manual focus and aperture.
Had to rise the exposure 4 stops in Resolve. So guessing with sun light in summer and a Voiglander 0.95 it could be possible.

Question for you, Mr. Kofa: are you using an anamorphic adapter in a couple of your other videos, or are you digitally cropping? I'm trying to get reports on what people are successfully using for that.

misterkofa,
is there a huge difference in image quality (not distortion, that does not bother me) between 12-35mm 2.8 at 14mm and 14mm 2.5 at same apertures ?
According to several sources 14mm 2.5 does not have a great corner sharpness, but considering the sensor size of BMPCC and resolution compared to MFT photography cameras this should not be noticeable ?
I am considering getting the 14mm 2.5 for BMPCC only...

This is a web site marketing piece for a specialty cycling shop in Boca Raton, FL. I would have liked to have done something slower, something more about the romance of cycling but the shop had a lot of marketing messages to really hammer. This video brings them a lot of business evidently.
If you look at the black fabric on the jersey at 0:22 you can clearly see IR pollution. My BMCC EF had no ND filter but the lighting was very tungsten so there you have it. This shoot was kind of a nightmare of mixed color temperatures but I did what I could. I guess I need a straight non-ND IR filter like the hoya.
Interviews were shot with the sigma 30mm 1.4 (new art version) and b-roll with that and the sigma 17-50 2.8 IS. Steadicam and slider shots were on the sigma 8-16. Graded with film convert, looks, and colorista. Audio was recorded all in-camera with a juiced link DS214 and a wireless lav. Sounds pretty good I think.
