60fps

PostTue Feb 12, 2013 9:54 pm

I've read many posts that have said that 60fps will never happen with this camera under any circumstances. This is a question for someone at Blackmagic. Is there any likelihood that in the not far off future a higher framer-rate will be possible even if only in ProRes?

I recall John Brawley saying there was no possible way for 60fps to be implemented later.
On my phone so I can't find the direct quote.
48fps potentially possible, but a VERY long shot and not likely in this model.
Buy the camera for what it does now. Consider any firmware upgrades a gift. Don't expect over cranking abilities in this model.
