Using BMCC with ATEM Switcher

PostTue Feb 19, 2013 12:12 am

I am very interested in using the BMCC camera with my ATEM switchers for live production. I just tested my BMCC with my ATEM Studio, using a BM up/down/cross converter. I was able to get it working for both 720p 50 & 59.94. The up/down/cross converter does not seem to support a conversion to 1080i.

Because the up/down/cross does not do progressive to interlaced and back ;)

The output from the BMCC is fixed to 1080P Which is something that a lot of people would see changed.

The Atem is maximum 1080i input.

The only solution so far for 1080I is to put a TERANEX between it
