My mother-in-law got a BMCC!

PostTue Feb 19, 2013 9:30 am

Should there be a priority list for backorders according to who knows how to use the BMCC?

She probably thought to herself "its an EF mount" and swapped it for the Sony P&S camera

Well it's about time we had some fine quality serious narrative films about this camera. Too bad this isn't one of them! Hilarious good work Loïc and Fawn; the outtakes should be nominated for the BMD version of the Oscars... Must send note to Christine to host the first annual BMD Oscars next year. Oscar sounds too Hollywood though. Can we call it the BMD Sheila?

LOL amen

The Sony P&S has a removable battery, histogram, and you can delete clips and format media from within the camera :?

But look at the separate video that is just the outtakes and you'll see that the mother really wants to keep the BMCC EF! The outtakes video was really entertaining, to me at least.

Here's the extended outtakes video if you missed it:

My mother-in-law had a lot more funny stuff to say but not everything would cut right for the first video.

Follow-up episode idea... mom asks for camera back so she can exchange it for an MFT version :D

Then she gets the MFT before everyone else and actually shoots something with it besides landscapes and tests.
Or maybe she should give a tutorial about what kind of SSD's to use or commonly known issues and advice about what accessories to buy.
Followed by an update on when exactly everyone else will receive their MFT versions down to the second it will arrive on their doorstep.
And to finish it off she releases a camera of her own with an S35 chip, Universal Mount, High Frame Rate and still under 3k.

Thanks for the laughs,

hmm...come to think of it, last time we spoke to her, she was talking about receiving a MFT mount BMCC soon with a built-in focal reducer. Also said something about beta-testing firmware 1.5 with 60fps support ;)
