I'd be cautious about this one. Doesn't really have a real website, no physical address listed, first time posting and isn't an official reseller - a lot of red flags. If Kyle can prove us wrong, then go for it.

There is a company with that name in Burbank, CA. I might go over there tomorrow and ask around

I checked and they are actually one of our resellers in LA even though they aren't listed on our website. I don't know much about this reseller, but it seems legitimate.

As an authorized retailer, the price is probably $3K, right? Or do some of your authorized retailers mark BMCs up?

I actually called over and spoke to Kyle. He seemed legitimate enough to me. Mentioned my email was forwarded to his boss and that I would hear back soon. Lets keep our fingers crossed. I will be in Mexico this weekend filming for Baja 250 and filming some footage with this camera in this type of scenario as a test would be amazing~!

I am sooooo disappointed that I missed out on that camera-AGAIN! I called and Jeffrey told me it's all sold. Thank you Blackmagic Design, If Only you guys can send some to Toronto so people can at least rent them....We are over 3 million in population you know...

I actually feel sick to my back teeth reading this. 6 cameras available over the counter in the US. BLACK MAGIC SORT IT OUT! There is literally hundreds if not thousands of us waiting in the UK and thousands more across Europe!

My reseller CVP is getting 1-2 cameras a week and are still only shipping orders from the 18th of April... DO YOU REALISE THAT IS ALMOST A YEAR AGO??? If CVP continue to get 1-2 cameras a week, that will mean I might JUST get my camera before Christmas.

PLEASE TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!! I am so upset. Something I want to bad has made me hate you so much.

I called Kyle this morning and apparently I was the third caller and one off because they only received 2 cameras not the 6 they ordered from BMD. So bummed right now

I just received my BMCC from Advantage Video Systems today. Jeff (OP Kyle's boss) delivered it to me at work. The hand delievery was more a matter of proximity (I work in the same town), but still I can't ask for better than that.

There was no markup on the price, and it was shrink wrapped, new in box. The menu shows the intervalometer settings, so I assume it has the latest firmware. I'll verify that tonight. No idea yet if it has the flange distance correction or not because I don't have a lens here to test with.



Advantage is a real company. A small company, but a real one, and I'm over the moon with the service. After waiting 8 months for my order from Safe Harbor, it was kind of shocking to stumble into a situation where I ordered from Advantage last week and got the camera today.

Jeff told me that Advantage placed an order for 50 cameras 20 minutes after they announced it at NAB last year. He has received a total of 8 across two shipments, so there are more on the way in the future. I would consider contacting them if you're looking for a camera. A small company with big service.
